Bringing Joy to Seniors: Moose Lodge Senior Pet Sanctuary's Heartwarming Event

Updated: Oct 10

On July 18th, a few of our beloved canine senior residents at Moose Lodge Senior Pet Sanctuary participated in a delightful "meet and greet" with senior humans at The Social House in Valatie, NY. This event fostered a wonderfully enriching and unique few hours of human and canine bonding in a relaxed, comforting environment. There were lots of laughs, heartwarming stories of past pets, and cherished reminisces of life events, all while our furry friends received an abundance of love, attention, and treats.

The Importance of Community and Connection

There is a significant need for community, connection, and socialization among senior citizens. The Social House serves both Rensselaer and Columbia counties, offering transportation within a ten-mile radius. This beautiful facility provides a space where seniors can interact with others while maintaining their independence. If you have a loved one or know someone who could benefit from this wonderful place, please share this information.

At Moose Lodge Senior Pet Sanctuary, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring our senior dogs together with the seniors at The Social House, creating heartwarming relationships that we hope will continue to grow in the years to come.
