At Moose Lodge Senior Pet Sanctuary, we’ve always known Laura Woyasz is a superstar — not just in Moose Lodge leadership but on the grandest stages as well! By day, she’s a dedicated advocate for senior dogs, a vital part of our sanctuary’s mission. By night (and matinee), she’s a Broadway sensation! And now, she’s about to take on an exciting new role: Laura will join the National Tour of KIMBERLY AKIMBO as Pattie! Her big debut? Mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Costa Mesa, CA. Cue the applause!

A Star on and Off the Stage

Laura isn’t new to the limelight. With an impressive career that includes playing Glinda in Wicked on Broadway, she has taken her talent to National Tours, Off-Broadway hits, and regional stages across the country. But the magic doesn’t stop when she steps off the stage. Laura brings the same passion to Moose Lodge Senior Pet Sanctuary, where she helps us create a loving forever home for senior dogs.

You might recognize her from our social media’s reel, "A Day in the Life at Moose Lodge Senior Pet Sanctuary" where her humor, warmth, and love for our mission take center stage. This fun reel also features Moose Lodge founder Deborah White and other amazing team members, along with some of our beloved senior pet residents. (Spoiler alert: It’s adorable and worth a watch!) Her infectious energy brings joy and laughter to everyone who meets her—whether they have two legs or four.

Laura’s Passion for Senior Dogs

When she’s not dazzling audiences, Laura is changing lives for the furry residents of Moose Lodge. She pours her heart into ensuring senior dogs receive the comfort and care they deserve in their golden years. Debbie and Dave, the founders of Moose Lodge, lovingly call her their "adopted daughter," and it’s easy to see why. Laura’s compassion, hard work, and unshakeable dedication have made her an irreplaceable part of the Moose Lodge family.

We’re beyond proud of her accomplishments and even more grateful for the love she brings to every wagging tail and heartwarming story at Moose Lodge.

About KIMBERLY AKIMBO

What’s all the buzz about? KIMBERLY AKIMBO is a five-time Tony Award-winning musical, including 2023’s Best Musical. It’s a show that’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious, described by The New Yorker as a “howlingly funny heartbreaker.” The story follows Kimberly, a teenager juggling family dysfunction, a rare genetic condition, her first crush, and … potential felony charges. (Yes, you read that right.) Through it all, Kimberly’s optimism shines as she sets out to find happiness against all odds.

As Pattie, Laura will bring her signature charisma, talent, and heart to a role audiences won’t forget. It’s a must-see performance!
